Old Dog Tavern is a restaurant, bar, and venue that was founded in January 2010 by Amy and Sean Smith.

This ever-evolving spot, located in the historic Star Paper Co. building, is dedicated to providing a unique restaurant experience in Kalamazoo. Old Dog enjoys collaborating with its family of talented employees and members of the community in building a relaxed and entertaining environment. 

Behind the bar, you will find a consistent rotation of Michigan craft brews and a passionate cocktail program from the mind of more than one Old Dog employee. In the kitchen, our wonderful crew is preparing meals using fresh, local ingredients. Old Dog Tavern houses a variety of talented artists and musicians, and plenty of unique spaces to host your own event. And yes, there is free ping-pong. Cheers!
